It's Wednesday morning, exactly one week since the start of our trip and we are taking another "zero day". We planned to leave our motel this morning and hit the trail but there's a huge rainstorm here in Georgia with threats of flooding. In fact there are many hikers who have come off the trail and are staying here tonight also. It's hard to sit around a motel all day when we're used to hiking so much - it's really cold and rainy out so not really ideal for strolling the town either. Besides I need to ice my knees today. I think by now we've spent more nights in a motel or the home of our cousin than we have camping out. Hahaha! We're having fun though.
We're staying at this cute little motel that has all the basics and is clean and inexpensive. Tomorrow the worst of the storm will pass & we plan to hike again...knees permitting.
