JMT, day 4

Thursday 9/15/16:

Heading to Red's Meadow for some refreshment: a cafe for maybe a "real lunch", and....possibly a SHOWER. With faucets the you can stand under and hot water comes OUT of the faucet thingy. Soooo exciting!!!!

I had a good night's sleep which was lucky, since last night I was cooked, almost to the point of tears (well there were some silent tears shed in my tent) because of the fact that my body's respiratory system just isn't handling this strenuous hiking at high altitudes and in freezing cold weather. Whatevs. I was looking forward to seeing what the day brought us, and to that shower at Red's Meadow. This is also the location of Devil's Postpile, which is an unusual place that has these lava columns that cooled in the shape of logs some thousands of years ago.

Moonlight over Gladys Lake - The Harvest Moon!!! The photo doesn't capture the amazing scene but it hints to it:

Good Morning, Gladys Lake! (My late grandma's namesake)
